On google, the companies look somewhat suspect. Also, if you know anywhere that will give an unlimited mileage warranty for a year, that would help also.

I just called a couple of Nissan dealers and they dont sell extended Manufacturer’s warranty, but they do sell a 3rd party extended warranty. So how do I find a place to buy a Nissan extended warranty? Nissan’s site gives you a list of sellers to call, but the ones I’ve called actually dont sell them!!!

I bought an auto extended warranty, and It was supposed to be 100,000 mile warranty. but… I look at the contract and it says 60,000. The finance guy was tellin us it was 100,000 miles. the 60k warranty was for new cars only and mine was used and 21k miles already. Is there Any recourse to getting my money back from auto extended warranty?
Ya, I should’ve read the contract better. i’m calling the dealership tomorrow. Thanks for the advice and responses people.

An extended auto warranty, sometimes known as an auto service warranty, is a great way to keep your vehicle on the road. However, as part of the warranty conditions you will find that you need to keep your automobile serviced and in the best order you can.
Why? Well the warranty company wants to make sure they have issued a warranty on a car that is being looked after properly. In their eyes, they do not want someone to run their car into the ground and expect the auto warranty company to pick up the tab.
So what are the typical car maintenance tasks you should undertake?
- Regular oil and water changes.
- Tire pressure kept to manufacturer’s recommended pressure levels
- Regular auto service by approved mechanics
You should be doing these things anyway, if not, get in the habit and you will be unlikely to invalidate your auto warranty. Of course, to be sure, check your auto warranty terms and conditions.
