How much should I pay at the dealer when buying a new car? Is ,000 a fair price?

I understand that it’s some type of security system but how does it work?
I am going today to pick up a 2007 Corolla and when they were giving me the options (extended warranty, etc) over the phone, they told me this was previously installed but they can removed it if I don’t want it. (9)
Thanks

An extended auto warranty can increase the value of your vehicle as the unexpired portion of the warranty can be transferred to a new owner. To find out more, click here to receive a free, no obligation auto warranty quote

I am going to pick up my car Saturday. Its a 2008 Toyota Corolla S. The standard warranty is 3 years/36,000 miles. For an extra something a month I will have 10 year/100,000 mile warranty. Would it be worth it to get that? I had a Corolla before, but long ago – it was a 1992 and it was a great little car… I don’t want to "waste" the money, but really if something ever did happen to the engine or transmission it would be covered…. would you get it?
