Car Scratches?
I just bought a car, brand new and somebody’s already scratched it up. Im assuming \i have the normal bumper to bumper warranty and all that + I took the extended service plan. Does anybody know if paint jobs are covered in either of these? What would the estimate charge be if I took it to an auto repair store? Its minor scratches in one part so nothing major…
thanks!

Extended auto warranties, like many warranty products, are used by people who don’t want to get caught out by expensive repair bills just when they can least afford it. Take it to a good detail shop, they can remove the scratches without painting, usually ! Look in the yellow pages for a mobile detail company, they will come to your home or work place and fix the scratches, a couple hundred dollars should cover the damage, good luck !!!
If it is a defect (paint bubbling up, chipping and peeling) with the paint, yes it would be covered. But normal scratches on the paint isn’t covered. That is normal wear and tear on a vehicle. Price would all depend on how bad the scratches are.
look at your insurance policy, does it have vandilism on it.
you will find out/from the painter…try a good mothers polish first.
