I want to buy a 2003 Infiniti G35 with 46,000 miles on it…the original warranty is up by now so I want to get an extended warranty from Infiniti? or an outside company…Can I get an extended warranty from Infiniti or what would be a good company to get one from…I am buying the car from a private seller.

You need to do your own research and make up your own mind about extended auto warranties. Think of a dollar figure you can afford for an auto warranty and then get a quote. Click here to receive a free, no obligation auto warranty quote
Get a warranty from the manufacturer or nothing. Everyone that bought a non-manufactures warranty got ripped off. Stay away from them!
Extended warranties are ALWAYS a rip-off. You are mostly paying for a salesperson commission. Look for on-line reviews on this topic and I think you will agree.
You are much better off putting the same amount of money or monthly payments in a good savings account, money market account, etc. Then if your car does not need the repairs, you still have the money. You also don’t have to fight with anyone about whether or not your specific item needing the repair is covered under your super-duper warranty (guess what, it won’t be)- you’ll just pull out the cash.
Why not create a warranty yourself and put the cash in the bank. My guess is that you can do a whole lot of repairs for what it is going to cost you- and on a fairly young car that likely won’t need them.
But I’m sure the salesperson would really enjoy the commission if you disagree…
The only thing that i say for you to do is go online or something and call the infiniti help line and ask about there personal extended warranty companies. But i know that many extended warranty companies will cover pretty much any car brand. Just ask tons of questions when you are looking for a extended warranty company many of them cost more and cover less. Good Luck
Spend the dough on having a good mechnaic give it a careful once over.
Then budget for maintainance so you’ll have the dough when you need it.
Those ‘waranttee’ outfits are in it to make a profit.
You’ll pay more in than you get out over the long run.
The Maker would be the best bet, but even there,
it’s likely a losing proposition.
