I live in an area where it snows for a few months. Also, is an extended warranty a good idea to buy?
Thank you.

Auto warranties are without doubt a great help to thousands of people every week who do not have to pay for auto repairs as the warranty picks up the tab. However, we know there are auto warranty scams out there and you have to be careful. Do your own research is our advice. Yes and yes, JM is correct, good answer
Rust proofing is a good idea, but remember that it is the road salt, that does more damage. What i did, when i was in Alaska, was to completley spray the under carriage, with rubberized undercoat and the wheel wells too.You can also use truck bed coating.
