I have 28000 miles on my car and the warranty is about up. Is it worth buying an extended warranty?

Never, ever, ever, buy an extended warranty for any product. Ever!
Just ask yourself one question: Why would the company try to sell you a warranty if it weren’t profitable for them? In the long run, you will always lose money on purchased warranties. It’s like betting against the house.
If its an american car I say hell yes. This excludes BMW FOR SURE GET IT THEN! Both my Toytoa and Lexus has it and it has already paid off 10k out! YES A TOYOTA DOES BREAK!! Front end twice and powersteering/ alt once! DO IT!
most men would say depends on the car type but would seem pointless to me
28,000 IS NOT A LOT OF MILES AT ALL ON A CAR. I WOULD SAY YES, BUY IT. YOU WILL BE GLAD YOU DID IF SOMETHING(HOPEFULLY NOT) TEARS UP ON YOUR VEHICLE AND SINCE THAT IS SUCH A LOW NUMBER OF MILES, THAT HAS A CONSIDERABLE AMOUNT OF TIME TO HAPPEN IN.
not really,if its a late model car it should last a while 175,000-200,000, as long as you take care of it and get regular maintence on it.
Yes
Better thing to do would be to find out how much the extended warranty would cost each month (or year if you have that kind of money) and then set aside that amount of money in a savings account each month. That way, you have the money available if you need it but it isn’t forced to stay with the car. From what I have seen of extended warranties, they are not worth the price because they exclude so much from the coverage.
I wouldn’t personally buy an extended warranty the exclusions outweigh the coverage. If you have your car regularly maintained you should not need it. Sure stuff happens, but those ext. warranties are a scam.
