i have a extended warranty and the insurance told the mechanic to tear away my engine then the insurance said they would deny repair because there was sludge in oil pan and i need a engine only have the car a little over a year well i had to pay 600 dollars just for them to tell me what was wrong the supervisor at insurance said it was from previous owner not keeping up with oil changes my question is this legal i did not tell them to tear the engine?
