I work for a maintenance and repair shop in Houston, TX and we are so busy that we can’t keep up. We desperately need to hire a good diesel truck mechanic and also an auto mechanic. I CANNOT seem to find any good candidates. We have posted on Craig’s List, in the paper, etc… Does anyone have any other avenues I could try. Like auto technician forums, groups, associations? Posting ads on job sites like Monster and Career Builder are expensive and not working. Please help if you have any suggestions!!

will that be a good basis on buying a car? or is it worth it to extend your warranty?

I’m here to voice my experience with the hyosung company. I purchased a new 05 hyosung GT650R from california in 2008. The first bike I was suppose to get sat in the dealerships shop for 3 weeks cause their was a malfunction in the dash unit which the couldn’t seem to fix. They then had to swap it out for another bike they had got shipped to them. Same year make and model, straight out of the crate. After riding it for a few days I had experienced the bike stalling on the highways and city roads. It would also stall after I filled up on gas and when I put on my brakes quickly (a panic stop). And also had a issue with the bike back firing. It sounded like a semi-auto cannon going off when i was decelerating. When I brought the bike in for it’s 1st service at 500-600 miles, I told the mechanic of the issues I was having. They had my bike for about a week and told me that they couldn’t find anything wrong with the bike. And that the back firing was normal. I brought the bike in to have a after market muffler put on (for safety reasons) and told them of the issue again. And was told the same thing. On my 2nd service I once again mentioned to the dealer of the problem. I got told yet again the same thing. I then also had to have the dash unit on that bike to be replaced cause it to wasn’t working. I then had to bring the bike back to the shop cause the battery had malfunctioned. I then moved to a different state, where I had my bike serviced and also mentioned to them of the issues and I got told the same exact thing. I then had to bring the bike back to them cause their was/is a leak somewhere that couldn’t be found. After riding for a few months I had my chain and pads changed. About a week after getting it out of the shop the rear caliper locked on me on the highway. I then had to take it back to get it fixed. When I did get my bike back I rode it for a week and then a valve in my engine busted. I then found out later that the day I took my bike in yet again I was 10 days out of warranty. And the manufacture after hearing all the problems that I have had with the bike, wouldn’t extend the warranty to cover the bike. And told me that they can only offer me 0. For a job that is close to ,000 to repair. And then begins to say that it’s not their problem that its the dealers. Now you can form your own opinion, but in my opinion is that this bike is worthless. I don’t recommend this brand of bike to anyone.
