They told my son it was completely burned out, etc, but it had passed their "Certified" inspection and they were not going to honor any warranty–said he must have raced it! He drives in Houston, TX traffic–how fast could he possibly go? Has anyone else ever had problems like this with the Car Max on the Southwest Freeway in Houston, TX? I was going to buy a car there, but sure won’t now! The car only has 17,000 miles on it.
They told my son it was completely burned out and that it was cracked in two. They said it had passed their certified 125 point inspection and that they weren’t going to honor the warranty because he must have been racing it. He drives in Sugarland and Houston, Texas. In Sugarland, there’s cops on every corner, and in Houston, it’s all traffic, all the time. The car had 17,000 miles on it. He went down there and they said they were not accusing him, but accused "someone" of abusing the car. Well, the "someone" who drives the car is my son, so they pretty much implied that my son screwed it up. He’s been drivng stick since he was 9(now 18). I think he knows how to drive stick. My ex-husband gave it to them. And they kicked him out, but then decided to apologize and talk it over. After a lawsuit was mentioned, they were very nice. But before that, upon answering the phone, they just went at my son saying he didn’t know how to drive and that he raced too much. I will never deal with Carmax.

I am trying to modify my child support for two children I have with ex-wife,they are 12 & 14 year old girls i have them about 35% of time.I am remarried and have two step children that live with us full time and our toddler 2.5 years old who has special needs ( autism) the ex makes like 4700.00 per month my new wife and I own a small fitness club which made 18,000.00 in 2008 and I also do auto repairs on side and work as an on call mechanic part time making about 00.00 in 2008 so that means i made about 1200.00 a month last year it would be difficult for me to take a full time job since our baby has more needs than most and even if we could find a daycare that would take her it would be too expensive , the question I have is can the judge order me to pay more than the guidline amount based on our incomes if the exes lawyer tries to say that i could earn more if I got a regular full time job as a mechanic which would make it very difficult with our toddler who needs lots of attention and me and the current wife take turns with her since she requires so much more attention than a regular toddler?
For those that think i don’t work full time , i am up at 4:30 AM to get to the gym I stay until about 10 AM go home to help with the toddler do paper work whatever then go back to gym at 4PM until 7PM. work side jobs in between and sometimes on weekend.
I am a great dad to my kids and my step kids they all come and help out at the gym by their choice.
my two girls have been asking for more time with me which i have promised to keep trying to get until it happens no matter how many times it takes
